Thursday 12th November 2026 | Online via Microsoft Teams | 09:30–16:30
The Society of Evidence Based Policing (SEBP) Midlands Region is inviting submissions for presentations, research spotlights, and practice-sharing sessions at our 2026 annual conference.
This year's online conference will explore two key themes:
Morning session – AI in Policing
We welcome submissions on the use of artificial intelligence across policing, from predictive tools and decision-support systems to the ethical and practical challenges of implementation. We are particularly keen to hear from both researchers and practitioners with frontline or operational insights.
Afternoon session – Problem-Solving
We are looking for submissions that showcase evidence-based approaches to problem-solving in policing contexts, including case studies, evaluations of local initiatives, and research that bridges theory and practice.
Who should submit?
We welcome proposals from police officers and staff at all ranks and grades, academics, researchers, and partner agencies across the Midlands region and beyond. Whether you have a completed study, an ongoing project, or a practice-based case study to share, we want to hear from you.
What to include in your submission:
Your name, rank/role, and organisation
Title of your presentation
Which session theme it relates to (AI in Policing / Problem-Solving)
A short abstract (max 250 words) summarising your topic and key findings or discussion points
Preferred format (presentation, panel discussion, Q&A)
Submission deadline: 7th August 2026
Submit via the Microsoft Form: Call for Submissions - SEBP Midlands Region Conference 2026 – Fill in form
